À Himlung 2015, à l’automne 2015
Rajan fut mon « sauveur » quand il est m’apparu, par miracle, seul, à 7050m, pour faire le sommet avec mon compagnon de cordée, Alex, et me laisser redescendre.

Explication. Partis du dernier camp à 6300m, Rajan avait dû rapidement faire demi-tour avec son compagnon de cordée trop fatigué. Il l’a laissé en sécurité au camp 3, et, libre, est remonté seul faire ce sommet de l’Himlung.
En nous dépassant Alex et moi, il avait dû voir que j’arrivais au bout de mes forces également, et 100m plus haut, sur la dernière épaule, accroupi, il nous a attendu. J’étais trop soulagé de lui laisser Alex et de pouvoir redescendre avec une autre cordée, sans empêcher un Alex en bonne forme d’atteindre le sommet.
Chaque fois que je voyais Rajan depuis, je le remerciais, il rigolait.
